Dubai Metro Timing Today: Hours, First & Last Trains

dubai metro timing today

The Dubai Metro runs from 5:00 AM to midnight Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Friday, and from 8:00 AM to midnight on Sunday. The Red Line and the Green Line keep the same hours, so one schedule covers every station.

Midnight is when the last trains reach the end of the line, not the last moment you can board. Each station closes when its last train leaves, and at Centrepoint that is more than an hour before midnight. The tables below give the opening hours by day and the last departures from the stations most riders use.

Last train times by station

The last train from Centrepoint leaves at 10:46 PM or 10:50 PM from Monday to Thursday, more than an hour before the 12:00 AM end of service. Red Line trains run to two ends, Expo 2020 and Life Pharmacy, so most Red Line stations have two last departures a few minutes apart. The table shows both.

Times after midnight in the Friday column fall in the early hours of Saturday.

If you are boarding at either end of the Red Line on a Monday to Thursday night, be through the gates by about 10:40 PM. From Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall toward Expo 2020 or Life Pharmacy you have until 11:18 PM.

The last trains finish their runs between 12:03 AM and 12:07 AM from Monday to Thursday, and between 1:01 AM and 1:08 AM on Friday. That gap is why the schedule says midnight and 1:00 AM while stations along the line close earlier.

First train times

The first train leaves at 5:00 AM from Monday to Saturday and at 8:00 AM on Sunday, and each station’s first departure depends on how far it sits from where trains start.

  • Centrepoint: 5:00 AM toward Life Pharmacy and 5:02 AM toward Expo 2020. On Sunday, 8:01 AM toward Expo 2020 and 8:05 AM toward Life Pharmacy.
  • Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall: 5:04–5:07 AM toward Expo 2020 and Life Pharmacy, and 5:11 AM toward Centrepoint. On Sunday, 8:02–8:06 AM and 8:06 AM.
  • e&: 5:01 AM toward Creek, and 8:01 AM on Sunday. From Creek toward e&, 5:03 AM and 8:03 AM on Sunday.

On Sunday no train runs before 8:00 AM at any station, which matters for early flights out of Terminals 1 and 3.

Red Line & Green Line differences

Both lines follow identical hours, so the only differences are the routes. The Red Line runs from Centrepoint (R11) to Expo 2020 (R76) and to Life Pharmacy (R42), and it serves Dubai International Airport Terminals 1 and 3. Life Pharmacy was called UAE Exchange until May 2025, and older timetables still use that name.

The Green Line runs from e& (G11) to Creek (G30). Union and BurJuman are the two interchange stations where riders switch between the Red and Green Lines.

Sobha Realty (R36) and DMCC (R37) connect the Red Line to the Dubai Tram. The Tram runs from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM Monday to Saturday and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Sunday, so it keeps running after the Metro has closed.

Holiday & event timings

Dubai city at night from Metro tracks

Public holidays and large events change the hours, usually by extending them. For the Dubai Marathon on 1 February 2026, the Metro opened at 5 AM instead of the usual 8 AM on a Sunday. Over New Year 2026 it ran continuously from 5:00 AM on 31 December until 11:59 PM on 1 January.

RTA posts holiday and special-occasion timetables on the banner at the top of its homepage, usually a few days before the date.
