How to reach Al Mulla Plaza
Two Green Line stations serve the plaza, and buses and cars reach it directly from Al Ittihad Road.
By metro
Al Qiyadah station (G16), on Al Ittihad Road, is the closest at about a 9-minute walk. Stadium station (G15) is about 10 to 12 minutes on foot, and it sits between Al Nahda (G14) and Al Qiyadah on the same line.
By bus
Stadium Bus Station, beside Stadium metro, opened on 3 May 2024 and is the starting point for feeder routes F22, F23 and F24. Routes X28 and 64 also pass near the plaza.
Coming from Sharjah, intercity route E308 links Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah with Stadium Bus Station. From there it is a short walk or a quick taxi ride to the plaza.
By car & parking
Drive to Al Ittihad Road in Al Nahda 1 and use the open-air surface parking around the building. Taxis and ride-hailing cars can take you straight to the map pin above.
What’s inside the plaza
The plaza runs on independent shops, with no international chains. The mix leans traditional:
- Fabrics and textiles, including Mohammed Aslam Haji Textiles and Dar al Bawady Textiles
- Abaya boutiques, fashion stores and tailoring
- Watches, jewellery, perfumes, souvenirs and basic electronics
- Honey and herbs, sold by Raheeq Al Naseem
- Pharmacies, money exchange houses, travel agencies and banking counters
- Tea spots, small cafes and budget-friendly South Asian restaurants

The building also holds offices and exhibition halls.
History: Dubai’s first mixed-use property
The Almulla Group built the plaza in 1978 around what was then a new idea for Dubai: duplex apartments above commercial premises, with exhibition halls in the same development.
The December 2023 collapse & rebuild
A small part of the plaza collapsed on the evening of Saturday 16 December 2023. The partial collapse left two people with minor injuries, and Dubai Police traced it to heavy materials stored improperly.
Dubai Police cordoned off the shops, while the apartments were unaffected and residents kept their homes. The failed slab was later reconstructed and the structure strengthened, with the work completed in 2026.
Events & fairs
Al Mulla Plaza has long been a venue for consumer fairs. It has hosted a Ramadan Night Market with more than 300 stalls, along with Dubai Shopping Festival promotions in January and Dubai Summer Surprises activities across July and August.
