Al Montazah Parks: Tickets, Hours & Rules
Two parks share one island in Khalid Lagoon: Island of Legends, the dry amusement park, and Pearls Kingdom, the water park. They run on different seasons, so the month you go decides which one is open. Pearls Kingdom closed for the 2026 season on 19 October, which makes Island of Legends the park to book after that date.
The entrance is opposite Flag Island, with free parking all day. Tickets are priced by park and by the visitor’s height, and every price below is shown before VAT with the 5% VAT total beside it.

The site opened in 1979 as Al Jazeera Park. Pearls Kingdom opened to visitors on the first day of Eid al-Fitr in June 2018 as part of a redevelopment costing more than AED 100 million.
Island of Legends vs Pearls Kingdom
Choose Island of Legends for rides and the Eye of the Emirates wheel, and Pearls Kingdom for slides, a wave pool and a full swimming day. The two differ on season, price, clothing and supervision rules.

Island of Legends
The park is themed as a time-travel journey through the 18th century, told through fairytales from nine countries. Rides include the Time Train, Le Palais, Dancing Flowers, the Teacups and the Lochness Spin Boat.
The Eye of the Emirates stands 60 metres tall with 42 cabins, and the entry ticket covers both the wheel and the Time Train. It stood at Al Qasba for 13 years before its move to Al Montazah in 2018, so the wheel is no longer at Al Qasba. Arcade games need a separate ticket.
Pearls Kingdom
One ticket covers every ride and slide, plus the wave pool and lazy river. Riding tubes and children’s life vests are free, and free sunbeds and life jackets are first come, first served.
Towels, locker rentals, souvenir photos and meals cost extra. Lockers exist only in the water park.
Ticket prices & height rules
Island of Legends entry is AED 55 before VAT, and Pearls Kingdom is AED 175 for adults and children above 120 cm. Reseller sites show the VAT-inclusive figure, which is why the same ticket appears at two different prices.

Height, not age, sets the price:
- Under 80 cm: free at both parks.
- 80 to 120 cm: the child price at Pearls Kingdom.
- Above 120 cm: the adult price at Pearls Kingdom.
Senior citizens above 60 enter Pearls Kingdom free. Guests who only want to watch still need an admission ticket, and guests may leave and re-enter after telling a customer service staff member.
Tickets bought in advance are non-refundable, and refunds on other tickets are granted only in special cases. If bad weather closes the water park, a refund follows an announcement at the park.
Opening hours & seasons
Island of Legends opens daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Pearls Kingdom runs daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM during its season.

- Pearls Kingdom: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day of the season. The 2026 season ended on 19 October.
- Tuesday: Ladies Day at Pearls Kingdom. Boys above 120 cm are not allowed that day.
Rain does not close the parks automatically. Operation depends on rain intensity and wind speed.

- Open the online ticketing portal and choose a date.
- Pick Island of Legends, Pearls Kingdom or a combo pass.
- Select tickets by height band: under 80 cm, 80 to 120 cm, or above 120 cm.
- Read the waiver to the end and click I Agree.
- Pay by card at checkout.
Buy at the gate
Ticket counters at the park entrance take cash, credit cards and debit cards, and US dollars are accepted too. Arriving early shortens the queue on weekends and public holidays.
Group bookings
Corporate groups start at 20 guests and school groups at 100. Call +971 6 511 0555 for group rates, which the Sales Department handles.
Rules & safety
The strictest rules apply at Pearls Kingdom, where a swimsuit is mandatory.
Dress code at Pearls Kingdom
- Swimsuits must have no metal, including buttons, zippers and buckles.
- Casual clothes, cotton wear and underwear are not allowed on the rides.
- Long necklaces and chains are prohibited.
- Long hair must be tied up.
- Small children need swim diapers, because regular diapers are not permitted.
What stays outside
- Outside food and drinks, alcohol, smoking and glass items.
- Pets, scooters, tennis balls and similar sports items.
- GoPros and similar cameras on the rides.
- Camping gear, since camping is prohibited.
Guests with specific dietary needs should call the park before arriving. Staff can inspect bags at the Island of Legends entrance.
Supervision & facilities
Children under 12 need an adult at all times at Pearls Kingdom, and children under 13 at Island of Legends. Wheelchairs are available at the ticketing counter, guests with disabilities can get fast passes, and baby changing rooms are on site. Island of Legends also has an ATM, a mosque, a mother and child room and first aid.
Getting there & parking
Parking is free all day at the entrance and in the parking structures across Flag Island.
- By car: 25 to 30 minutes from Dubai, 1.5 to 2 hours from Abu Dhabi, 25 minutes (19 km) from Sharjah International Airport and 20 minutes (15.3 km) from Dubai International Airport.
- By bus: routes E303 and E307 stop near Pearls Kingdom, and intercity buses end at Sharjah Al Jubail Bus Station. From there it is a 3-minute taxi ride (1.2 km) or a 5-minute walk.
- By taxi: designated pick-up and drop-off points serve both parks.
