GetYourGuide Dubai: Best Activities, Prices & Cancellation Rules

get your guide dubai

Cancel a GetYourGuide booking in Dubai more than 24 hours before the start and the full price goes back to your card. Cancel inside that window, or miss the pickup, and nothing is refunded. That one rule, counted on Dubai time, shapes how to book every tour and ticket on the platform.

GetYourGuide sells Dubai’s landmarks, desert safaris, cruises and day trips, but it runs none of them. Local suppliers operate each activity, so prices, inclusions and restrictions change from listing to listing. The sections below cover which activities are worth booking, what they cost in AED, how checkout works and when a refund applies.

Best Dubai activities to book

Dubai skyline with Burj Khalifa

These eight activities cover the landmarks, desert and water experiences most visitors book, with the price ranges to expect in AED.

Activity Price per adult (AED) Time needed Booking note
Burj Khalifa, levels 124 & 125 180 off-peak, 250 at peak 1.5 to 2 hours Timed entry through Dubai Mall
Burj Khalifa SKY, level 148 400 off-peak, 540+ at peak About 2 hours Level 148 is 555 meters up
Desert safari, shared evening 150 to 300 6 to 7 hours with transfers BBQ dinner and live show included
Dhow dinner cruise 60 to 200 1.5 to 2 hours Creek costs less than Marina
Dubai Fountain lake ride 65 to 75 30 minutes The show itself is free
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo 120 to 215 2 to 3 hours Glass-bottom boat costs extra
Dubai Frame 50 (child 20) About 1 hour Zabeel Park, Gate 4
Global Village 25 Sun to Thu, 30 Fri & Sat An evening Seasonal, open until May 2027

A listing priced far above these ranges is usually a private, fast-track or transfer-inclusive option. The cancellation line on each listing governs the refund, not the table.

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa has three ticket tiers: levels 124 and 125 at around 450 meters, the SKY ticket that adds level 148 at 555 meters, and the Lounge on levels 152 to 154 from AED 769. The visitor floors depend on the tier you buy.

Entry is timed, and prices rise in the late-afternoon peak around sunset. A standard ticket costs about AED 180 for a morning or after-dark slot against about AED 250 at peak, and the SKY ticket moves from about AED 400 to above AED 540.

The observation-deck entrance is on the lower ground level of Dubai Mall. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your slot and carry a passport or ID. Take the Metro Red Line to Burj Khalifa station to reach it.

Desert safari

A shared evening safari with BBQ dinner costs AED 150 to 300 per person and runs 6 to 7 hours including hotel transfers. Pickup falls between 2:30 and 4:30 pm, and the return between 9 and 10:30 pm.

The programme covers 4×4 dune bashing, a camel ride, sandboarding, dinner and a live show. Quad biking is an add-on. A private vehicle costs AED 900 to 1,400 for up to six guests, which works out close to the shared price per head for a group of five or six.

Safari listings carry exclusions for pregnancy and for back, neck or heart conditions. An operator that turns you away on those grounds issues no refund.

Dhow cruises & the Dubai Fountain lake ride

A dhow dinner cruise lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and includes a buffet and a Tanura show. Creek departures cost less than Marina ones, and Marina evenings sail around 8 pm.

The Dubai Fountain performances are free to watch from the promenade. The AED 65 to 75 lake ride puts you on Burj Lake in a traditional abra for 30 minutes during the show.

Global Village

Global Village’s 31st season runs from 14 October 2026 to May 2027. Entry costs AED 25 from Sunday to Thursday and AED 30 on Fridays and Saturdays, so a weekday visit saves AED 5 per ticket.

How to book on GetYourGuide

Booking takes seven steps on the website or in the app:

  1. Search “Dubai” and filter the results by date, language or price.
  2. Open a listing and read the inclusions and the cancellation line in the “About this activity” section.
  3. Pick the date, start time, language and number of participants.
  4. Enter the traveler details the listing asks for.
  5. Choose how to pay. “Reserve now, pay later” needs a credit card that stays valid through the activity date, and the card is charged 72 hours before the start.
  6. Check the confirmation email straight away and correct any wrong detail with support.
  7. Keep the mobile voucher or PDF ready. If the supplier emails a different meeting point or pickup time, the email overrides the listing.

Cancellation & refund rules

A full refund applies when you cancel more than 24 hours before the start time. The table covers the cases that change the outcome.

Situation Outcome
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start Full refund of the booking price to the original payment method
Cancel within 24 hours of the start, or no-show No refund
Listing, supplier terms or voucher state different terms Those terms replace the 24-hour rule
Supplier cancels for weather, strikes or other events outside its control Booking price refunded
Supplier excludes you for missing a participation requirement No refund
“Reserve now, pay later” card charge fails 47 hours to pay manually, then the booking cancels automatically

The default cancellation rule applies unless the activity page, the supplier’s terms or the voucher say otherwise. Deadlines run on the supplier’s time zone, which for Dubai suppliers is UAE time, GMT+4.

Changes and cancellations must go through GetYourGuide, using the cancellation form in the Help Center. What counts is the moment GetYourGuide receives your request, so cancel well before the cutoff rather than at it.

Day trips from Dubai

Abu Dhabi

The standard Abu Dhabi day trip covers Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi, lasts 8 to 12 hours and includes hotel pickup. The drive is about 90 minutes each way.

The mosque requires loose, modest clothing that covers arms and legs, and women cover their hair. Entry is not guaranteed on Islamic holidays.

Hatta

Hatta sits about 134 km east of Dubai in the Hajar Mountains, roughly 90 minutes by car. Day tours run 6 to 9 hours and combine Hatta Heritage Village with Hatta Dam. Kayaking on the dam is an add-on on some tours.

Is GetYourGuide reliable in Dubai?

Yes. GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH in Berlin operates the platform and sells as each supplier’s commercial agent, so your contract for the activity is with the Dubai operator. Safety standards, guides and vehicles depend on that operator, and no booking price includes travel insurance.

Downtown Dubai skyline

Reviews come from travelers who bought the activity, which makes the rating and review count on a listing the best check on a specific operator. Customer service replies within 24 hours as a rule, and the supplier’s emergency contact sits on your voucher.

Best price matching adds a safety net. If you find the same activity with the same supplier, date and group size cheaper elsewhere, GetYourGuide refunds the difference once you send proof. Loyalty-program, corporate and group rates are excluded.

FAQ

Is GetYourGuide legit in Dubai?

Yes. It is a Berlin-based marketplace with published terms, and the Dubai activities are run by local suppliers who hold the contract with you. Check each operator’s reviews before paying.

Can I cancel a GetYourGuide booking in Dubai?

Yes, with a full refund when you cancel more than 24 hours before the start and the listing has no different terms. Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows get no refund.

Does GetYourGuide charge booking fees?

No separate fee is added. The checkout price is the listed price minus discounts, and GetYourGuide’s commission is built into it. Your card issuer can still charge its own fees.

Can I pay later on GetYourGuide?

Yes, on selected activities. “Reserve now, pay later” takes a zero-amount charge to your credit card at booking and the full price 72 hours before the start.

Do I need to print my GetYourGuide voucher?

No, when the activity issues a mobile voucher. Other activities issue a downloadable PDF ticket, and the listing says which format applies.

Is the Dubai Fountain show free?

Yes. The performances are free to watch from the promenade, and only the lake ride is a paid ticket.

Before you pay

  • Read the cancellation line on the listing. Free cancellation closes 24 hours before the start, counted on Dubai time.
  • Match the ticket tier to what you want: the Burj Khalifa level, or a shared or private safari.
  • Check the participation restrictions for dune bashing, quad biking and glass-bottom boat rides.
  • Compare the price with the ranges above. A much higher price points to a private, fast-track or transfer-inclusive option.
  • Open the confirmation email right after booking, and again the day before for any change to the meeting point or pickup time.
